Tahir is built by a small team of Muslim developers who want to create an Islamic browsing experience for the Ummah. Our team has experience engineers and we're passionate about using our skills to benefit the Muslim community.
We offer two levels of protection: 1) General blur - all images are automatically blurred and images can be unblurred as needed, 2) AI detection - our machine learning model analyzes each image to see if it contains a human and blurs only those images, about ~70% accurate. You can switch between blur modes as needed.
We maintain a database of over 100,000+ websites containing adult content, gambling, alcohol-related material, adware or malware that are automatically blocked.
Yes, your privacy and security are our top priorities. We don't store any of your browsing history or personal data on our servers. All image processing happens locally on your device. We use industry-standard encryption and security practices to protect any necessary data transmission.
No, we do not track your browsing activity. We only collect anonymous usage statistics to help us improve the browser. We block many third-party trackers by default to protect your privacy.
